Description:
Tadalafil is cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) selective, reversible inhibitor, when stimulation leads to local release of nitric oxide, PDE5 inhibition by tadalafil, to improve the level of intracavernous cGMP, which leads to smooth muscle relaxation, blood flows into the penile tissue, produce an erection, such as sexual stimulation.
Application:

Furthermore, the longer half-life is the basis for current investigation of tadalafil's daily therapeutic use in relieving pulmonary arterial hypertension.
